Washington Beats Crab Apple Cove, 8-5

Barras, who finished 2nd in the AP in wins above replacement with 8.7 in 2069, went 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. <César Domínguez:player#19358>, who finished 2nd in the AP in saves with 36 last year, nailed down the save. Washington has an impressive 22-11 record.

Washington second baseman <Nick Juárez:player#7983> contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring  single. It was his 19th hit of the season and put the Monuments ahead, 7-5.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Washington manager <Barry L:manager#145>.
