Edmonton Shut Out by Conner
|
Colo Springs hurler Charles Conner put on quite a show, as he blitzed the Edmonton Trappers with a 5-0 shutout. He baffled them with fastballs and changeups, allowing 4 hits with 9 strikeouts and no walks to pick up the win.
"I think every time we were looking for a fastball, he threw a changeup and every time we were looking for a changeup, he threw a fastball," Edmonton manager told reporters after the game.
Conner is batting at a .319 pace this season, picking up 38 hits in 119 at-bats with 1 home run, 9 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
