Though he had a terrific game, Jared Hoffman could not prevent his team, the Mexico City Diablos, from absorbing a loss. Atlantic City won the game, 7-6. Hoffman was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The losing streak for Mexico City has now reached 5 games.

Had Jorge Guerrero not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Guerrero hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Aces.
