The Boston Revolution beat the Iowa Crop Circles, 7-5, at The Cornfield. Boston right fielder Stanley Bates had an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Iowa has now lost 5 in a row.

The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Bates delivered big-time for Boston, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Alberto Cota. The game-changing hit put the Revolution on top, 6-5.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Bates told the Boston News.
