Atlantic City turned a fine outing from starter Mike Salas into a victory over the Washington Monuments at Trump Stadium. The final score was 3-2. Atlantic City reliever Floyd Hall picked up the win to move to 2-1. Terry Pinnell suffered the loss. The Aces improved their record to 23-15 with the win over Washington.
Brian Adkins, who finished 2nd in the FR in OPS with .982 in 2070, contributed to the Atlantic City win with a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
Atlantic City manager Jace Smith praised his team's "businesslike approach."
