Casey Lays Hammer Down in 4-0 Win
The 2071 season is off to a good start for the Keg Creek Coyotes. The hometown Coyotes knocked off the Vermont Lake Monsters, 4-0, at Coyote Den Stadium. Keg Creek pitcher Gerald Casey paced his team to the win. Earning his 1st save for Keg Creek was Júlio Ortíz.

Casey, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, was dealing all game. He kept Vermont hitters off-balance, while giving the Coyotes 8.1 quality innings. Casey threw 124 pitches, allowing 7 hits and striking out 13.

"Gerald was throwing free and easy," said Keg Creek manager Jay Kunstler.
