Kobayashi, Ravens Beat Militia, 8-0
|
Daisuke Kobayashi was a major contributor to the 8-0 Richmond win over Michigan. The Ravens center fielder went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The winning pitcher was Will Nelson. He's now 6-7. He went 8.2 innings, allowing no runs on 8 hits for the Ravens. The second-place Ravens have won 5 straight.
Kobayashi had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Lane Davis, he banged a run-scoring double to left-center, giving the Ravens a 1-0 lead. It was the 4th double of the year for Kobayashi.
"Nervous? No," said Kobayashi. "It was my time to shine."
