Ravens Beat Visiting Falcons, 6-1
|
Newark had no answer for Richmond Ravens hurler Tony Herrera, who overwhelmed Falcons hitters as the Ravens coasted to victory, 6-1. Herrera picked up the win for Richmond, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-4. Richmond has now won 3 in a row.
Clifford Duncan had a big 2-run home run for the Ravens in the bottom of the third inning. With Richmond leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from top prospect Francisco Chapa and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Ravens on top, 3-0.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Newark manager Brandon T.
