The Keg Creek Coyotes picked up a win at Launch Pad, knocking off the Cape Canaveral Launch, 6-4. On the mound for Keg Creek was left-hander Dave Combs. He played a key role in the triumph. Picking up the save was Bob Reed, his 8th. The Coyotes improved their record to 34-38 by beating Cape Canaveral.

Keg Creek used a clutch at-bat from José Gil to capture the win. The catcher hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Coyotes ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

In postgame comments to the Keg Creek Times, Gil said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
