Cuervo Come Up Short at Alcatraz Island, 5-4
|
The Alcatraz Island Jail Break topped the San Jose Cuervo, 5-4, in Frontier action at The Rock. The game was highlighted by the performance of Alcatraz Island pitcher Arthur Peet. Earning his 18th save of the year was Scott Jenkins. The win for the Jail Break lifted their record to 39-35.
Rob Foster, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2071 draft, helped out the Alcatraz Island cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the second baseman drove in one run.
"I put my work in and trusted the process," said Peet.
