The Vermont Lake Monsters bumped off the Orlando Rum Runners, 7-4, at Krono Field. Paul King hit 1 single and 1 double. He also had 2 runs batted in. John Hill, the winning pitcher, is now 3-5. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, while fanning 1 and walking 1. Chris Thomas earned the save for Vermont, his 12th.

Vermont grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when King hit a 2-run double off Brent Pugh. His 20th double of the season put the Lake Monsters out in front, 4-2.
