Redstone Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
A 4-RBI performance from the two-time All-Star Dale Pérez helped the Redstone Ridge Raptors beat the Laredo Border Jumpers, 8-5. Victor Jones, who finished 2nd in the FR in saves with 35 in 2072, was the winner in relief. His record is now 5-4. The losing pitcher was John Gates. The Border Jumpers, now 29-46, have lost 4 straight.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Redstone trailing 5-4, Pérez jumped on a slider from 11-year veteran John Gates and hit a grand slam home run to right-center. With one swing, the Ridge Raptors had a walk-off win.

"The house was rockin'," said Pérez.
