Skidding Comrades Lose 6th Straight
In a low-scoring contest between the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks and the Havana Comrades, former first round draft pick Doug Benson proved to be the difference. The Philadelphia right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Cheesesteaks win. The winner in relief was Amado Ortíz. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 4-3. The Comrades, now 34-39, have lost 6 in a row.

Philadelphia took a 3-2 lead on Cris Santos's 6th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Santos hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Havana pitcher Tom Miller visibly frustrated.

"Doug did a nice job," said Cheesesteaks manager Joey Santangelo.
