Cheesesteaks Win Nail-Biter
|
William Penn Park was rocking after an exciting Cheesesteaks win.
Stephen Lowe was a major contributor to the 6-5 Philadelphia win over Havana. The Cheesesteaks catcher was 4 for 5 with 4 singles. With the win, the Cheesesteaks hiked their record to 44-31.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the tenth. With Philadelphia trailing 5-4, Artie Martin hit a cutter from Richard Carpenter to right for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Cheesesteaks had a walk-off win.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Lowe. "And not try to do too much."
