The Minneapolis Maulers besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Atlantic City third baseman Elwood Cooper by beating the Aces, 7-4, at MacLaren Stadium. Cooper was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. Jaime Ruíz earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 7-0. Minneapolis is now 36-37, while Atlantic City is 33-42.
