The Reading Railbirds topped the Iowa Crop Circles, 12-4, in Frontier action at The Cornfield. The standout performance belonged to Reading pitcher and Yucaipa, California, native Avery Craig. Reading is now 37-38, while Iowa is 38-38.

Alex Peddle, the 34-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Peddle contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third inning to put Reading up, 2-0.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Peddle.
