Cuervo Topple Ridge Raptors with Late Rally
San Jose and Redstone duked it out and the Cuervo came out victorious.

The Cuervo grabbed a win, 5-2, at The Raptor's Nest, overcoming a fine effort from Redstone pitcher Chris Hall. Hall went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Iván Ruíz, who finished 4th in the AP in saves with 38 in 2067, nailed down the save.

San Jose used the timely hitting of Bobby Lloyd to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cuervo on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Lloyd.

The win gives San Jose a season record of 43-34.
