The Reading Railbirds got a sterling performance from pitcher Adrián Jiménez, but the Philadelphia Cheesesteaks still prevailed, 4-3. Jiménez threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Jorge Yánez snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-3 on the season. Ed Leibnitz suffered the loss. The win puts Philadelphia at 46-32 this season.

Philadelphia got a knockout punch from Steve Baker. The pinch hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This place was electric at the end," Baker said.
