Amarillo picked up a win at The Chicken Coop, bumping off the Atlantic City Aces, 5-2. Pitcher Tim Reynolds was a major reason the Chicken Haulers emerged victorious. Leroy Welch wrapped it up, recording his 3rd save. Amarillo is now 36-42. Atlantic City is 43-35.
John O'Murphy hit a 2-run triple off Andrew Fitzgerald in the bottom of the second, which put the Chicken Haulers in front, 3-2. O'Murphy had 2 singles, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 3 for 4.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Reynolds. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
