The West Island Storm and Richmond Ravens obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.
West Island registered a win at Hot Box by beating the Richmond Ravens, 5-4. Pitcher Roberto Flores was one reason why the Storm triumphed. Vincent Curtis, who is tied for 7th in the AP in saves with 15, nailed down the save.
Mao Qing chipped in a solo home run for West Island in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.
"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Flores. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
The Storm raised their record to 31-46.
