Greg Payne was outstanding against Iowa. The left-hander, who is tied for 5th in the FR in quality starts with 10, had a changeup that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Jail Break 4-1 win. Scott Jenkins recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 8 for 13. The last-place Crop Circles have lost 6 consecutive games.

Vicente Méndez hit a solo home run off Luis Santiago Jr. in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Jail Break ahead, 2-1. In addition to the homer, Méndez had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
