Revolution Score Late, Top Mashers, 7-1
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Crab Apple Cove Mashers and Boston Revolution get after it.
Boston picked up a win at Jackie Robinson Place, toppling the Crab Apple Cove Mashers, 7-1. Pitcher Sid Jackson was one of the reasons the Revolution triumphed. The win elevated the Revolution to 44-37.
The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Kuei-lin Chia came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Crab Apple Cove pitcher Clarence Woods, he hit a 3-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Boston on top, 2-1.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Jackson.
