Cuervo Fall Short, 5-4, at Reading
The Reading Railbirds defeated the San Jose Cuervo, 5-4, at Schuylkill Landing Park today. Leading the charge for Reading was shortstop Carlos Sarasa. He went 3-4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Jim Hines converted his 14th save in 16 tries. Reading now has a 5-game win streak.

Sarasa contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Reading in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Sarasa took a fastball from Bill Alexander and stroked the home run to right. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Railbirds to leap in front, 4-2.

"It was a solid team effort," said Sarasa after the game.
