The Reading Railbirds got a stellar effort from pitcher Carlos Caro, helping Reading score a win over the visiting Philadelphia Cheesesteaks, 2-1. Reading reliever Russ Lynch got the win, raising his record to 1-3. Marcello Tilli was tagged with the loss. Philadelphia has now lost 7 straight.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Reading catcher Michael Cabrera, facing Marcello Tilli, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Railbirds the 2-1 win.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Caro said.
