Ridge Raptors Snag 6-3 Win
|
Gary Escamilla did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Glacier Bay Ice Pirates from losing, 6-3, to the Redstone Ridge Raptors at Liquor Luge. Escamilla was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times. With the win, Redstone raised its record to 46-39.
Redstone used the timely hitting of Kip Collins to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Ridge Raptors on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It feels good to get this one," Collins told the Redstone Bulletin.
