The Newark Falcons got a superb performance from pitcher Ramón Barrera, but the Michigan Militia still won the game, 4-2. Barrera threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Michigan now sits at 39-47, while Newark falls to 31-54.
Don Bandelow hit a 2-run triple off Jacob Harrington in the top of the 12th, which put the Militia in front, 4-2. In addition to the triple, Bandelow had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Michigan manager Johnny Rose.
