The rain came, as predicted, but the Death Valley Burn and Glacier Bay Ice Pirates were able to complete their ballgame.

Though he had a terrific game, Mario Amézaga could not prevent his team, the Glacier Bay Ice Pirates, from absorbing a loss. Death Valley won the game, 6-5. Amézaga went 1 for 1 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Raúl Adame was the winner. He's now 1-1. The loser was two-time All-Star Vicente Hernández.

Death Valley used the hitting of Robert Lee to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Burn on top, 6-5. For the game, Lee had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Lee told the Death Valley Gazette.
