The Richmond Ravens locked up a win at Battle Field, knocking off the West Island Storm, 5-3. On the mound for Richmond was right-hander Gerardo Polanco. He played a major role in the triumph. The Ravens, now 7-3, have hit the ground running this season.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but David Allen didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 3rd and West Island trailing 4-2, Allen retired Sergio López to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Allen, with a wink.
