The Laredo Border Jumpers defeated the Crab Apple Cove Mashers, 7-5, at BackWet Stadium today. Leading the charge for Laredo was shortstop Miguel Contreras. He was 4-5 with 3 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. This loss makes it 7 in a row for Crab Apple Cove.

Contreras had a timely hit for Laredo in the bottom of the sixth. With Crab Apple Cove trailing 5-4, he turned a 2-0 curveball into a 2-run double. It was his 17th double of the season, making it 6-5, Laredo.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Contreras told the Laredo Herald.
