Ridge Raptors Rally For Late Win Over Mashers
|
The Ridge Raptors grabbed a win, 6-3, at Vargas Field, overcoming a fine effort from Crab Apple Cove pitcher Jeff Poe. Poe went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. The win for the Ridge Raptors raised their record to 46-42.
Redstone used the timely hitting of Aaron Mannington to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Ridge Raptors on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Mannington called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
