The Honolulu High Tide picked up a win at Champagne of Beers Field, knocking off the Amarillo Chicken Haulers, 4-3. On the mound for Honolulu was left-hander Júlio Sepúlveda. He played a key role in the triumph. Honolulu reliever Edgar Arroyo was the winner. His record is now 4-2. Ryan Wheeler took the loss. The win for the High Tide lifted their record to 57-33.

Honolulu got a clutch hit from Iván Sandoval. The shortstop launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Amarillo manager James Walker. "But we decided not to take it."
