Francisco Olivares left his imprint on the 5-2 Mexico City win against the Iowa Crop Circles. Olivares, who finished 4th in the AP in batting average with .304 in 2070, was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Troy Smith picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-4. Sean Springfield, who is tied for 4th in the FR with a 1.10 WHIP, was tagged with the loss. The second-place Crop Circles now sit at 44-46.

Manny Navarro helped out the Mexico City cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
