Vermont Lake Monsters starter Ernest Reese was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the West Island Storm, 3-2. Chris Thomas earned the save for Vermont, his 19th of the year. The Lake Monsters now have a mark of 42-49.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jorge Barajas? The Vermont second baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Lake Monsters on top, 3-0. For the game, Barajas had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
