Good production from catcher António Velásquez helped the St. Paul Bearers topple the Glacier Bay Ice Pirates, 6-3. Velásquez went 2-3 with a double for the Bearers. St. Paul reliever Melvin Flowers picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Armando Ramos took the loss. Darrell Holmes closed it out for St. Paul, earning his 10th save.

The Bearers got a big at-bat from first baseman Guy Lucas. For the game, Lucas went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 26th double of the season gave St. Paul a 2-1 lead.

"I felt good up there," said Velásquez. "I saw the ball well."

The win elevated the Bearers to 46-46.
