The Honolulu High Tide routed the Amarillo Chicken Haulers, 11-3, at Champagne of Beers Field. Iván Sandoval, who leads the AP in extra base hits with 50, was one of the hitting stars. He went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Honolulu. Picking up the win was Stephen Brooks. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The left--hander struck out 5 and walked 2. Mitsuhide Yamaguchi, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities.

With Honolulu leading 8-3 in the bottom of the eighth, Sandoval came up to bat against Amarillo pitcher Brad Stanley. Sandoval hit a curveball to right for a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season put the High Tide on top, 11-3.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Sandoval.

With the win, Honolulu upped its record to 59-33.
