Militia Winners, 4-1, at Champagne of Beers Field
The Michigan Militia went home winners at Champagne of Beers Field, thanks in large part to starter Matt Barraclough. Barraclough stifled the Honolulu High Tide, enabling Michigan to grab the 4-1 win. Dave Kennedy was called on to finish, recording his 19th save. Michigan improves to 56-36 with the win. They lead their division by 10½ games.

Carlos Mendoza came through with a big-time hit for Michigan. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Said losing manager Mark Sambor: "Give the Militia credit. They played a better game than we did."
