Maulers Deal Chicken Haulers 3-1 Loss
|
The Minneapolis Maulers faced a tough opponent in Amarillo pitcher Morgan Banks, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Chicken Coop by a final score of 3-1. Banks went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Today's win puts Minneapolis at 43-49, while Amarillo falls to 44-48.
Eric Ward came through with a big-time hit for Minneapolis. The first baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Minneapolis manager said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
