Maulers Even Record with 5-4 Victory

The Minneapolis Maulers defeated the Keg Creek Coyotes, 5-4, at MacLaren Stadium. Juan Jose López, who is tied for 6th in the AP in triples with 5, was a standout performer for Minneapolis. His 3 hits included 1 single and 2 doubles -- this in addition to the 1 run he scored and 3 he knocked in. With the win, the Maulers have a record of 46-46.
Had López not come through in the bottom of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, López hit a run-scoring single. The Maulers took the lead, 4-3, and never looked back.
"That's what I love about baseball," said López. "No matter how good or how bad you did, you get to wake up the next day and start all over."
