Crop Circles Lose to Diablos, 10-7
The Mexico City Diablos defeated the Iowa Crop Circles, 10-7. Left Fielder Jared Hoffman deserved a large share of the credit. Hoffman went 3-5 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Diablos. Andy Thomas earned the win for Mexico City. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 11-1. Mexico City raised its record to 46-46 with the win.

The Crop Circles had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Diablos going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the fan favorite Manny Navarro came to the plate. Navarro hit a 2-run home run on a full count fastball from Iowa hurler Ricardo Cardenas. It was Navarro's 10th home run of the year.

"We came out aggressive," said Diablos manager . "We came out swinging the bats."
