Comrades Drop 6-1 Decision

The first-place Reading Railbirds picked up another win.
Carlos Caro never let Havana get something going. The Reading right-hander commanded his curveball in pitching the Railbirds to a 6-1 win. The winner was Caro. He threw 6.2 innings of 2-hit ball. The loser was Steven Carroll.
José Alonzo was 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI for Reading. The 24-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Steven Carroll. It was his 26th hit of the season.
Reading manager Slam Dunks called it "a darn good win."
The Railbirds lead the Frontier Northern by 6 games.
