Laredo and Alcatraz Island duked it out and the Border Jumpers came out victorious.

Pablo Romero made an impact in the 7-5 Laredo win over Alcatraz Island. Romero, who finished 2nd in the FR in stolen bases with 58 in 2070, was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs. The win went to Ralph McCormick in relief, making him now 6-1. Scott Jenkins took the loss for Alcatraz Island. David Rowe recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 1 for 2.

Laredo needed the clutch hitting of Anthony Kimball to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Border Jumpers on top, 7-5. For the game, Kimball had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
