West Island and Amarillo duked it out and the Storm came out victorious.

Behind a solid performance from first baseman Rafael Aguilar, the West Island Storm defeated the Amarillo Chicken Haulers, 8-5. Aguilar went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 3 times for the Storm. The win went to Paul Dawson in relief, making him now 3-8. Tim Reynolds took the loss for Amarillo.

Aguilar contributed in the top of the third. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one at-bat among others that helped West Island get the win.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Aguilar told a West Island Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."

The win has West Island at 36-56.
