The Michigan Militia grabbed a win, 4-3, over the Minneapolis Maulers at Assembly Line Grounds. Michigan second baseman Artie Martin went 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs. The Militia saw their win-loss record go to 44-49. At the same time, the Maulers fell to 40-52.

Michigan took a 4-3 lead on José Acevedo's 19th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Acevedo hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Minneapolis pitcher Bret Wilson visibly frustrated.

In postgame remarks, Acevedo applauded his team's "resolve."
