In a low-scoring affair between the West Island Storm and the Keg Creek Coyotes, pitcher Ron Collins was the difference between victory and defeat. The West Island right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-1 Storm win. West Island reliever Vincent Curtis got the win, raising his record to 3-5. Alan Johnson was tagged with the loss. The Storm go to 37-54 with the win.
Mao Qing was the walk-off hero for West Island . With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Storm third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Collins called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
