The Orlando Rum Runners racked up a win at Krono Field, bumping off the Honolulu High Tide, 4-1. Kenny Hecker, who started for Orlando, pitched effectively for his team. In 6.2 innings, Hecker surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Nick Sharpley converted his 21st save in 30 tries.

The Rum Runners got an important contribution from shortstop Manuel Ortíz, who in the bottom of the fourth punched a 1-0 knuckleball into left for a 2-run double. It was his 27th double of the season and put the Rum Runners ahead, 4-1.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Ortíz told the Orlando Gazette.

The win elevated the Rum Runners to 50-43.
