Richmond right-hander Joe Lowe pitched his team to victory over the Newark Falcons at Falcons Field. The final score was 5-4. Lowe went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2. His record improves to 5-6. Víctor Rodríguez, credited with the save, is now 5 for 5 in save opportunities.
Richmond used a timely hit from Jesús Durán to get the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Ravens ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Lowe.
