Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the St. Paul Bearers got the win.
Roberto García, who is tied for 3rd in the FR in complete games with 1, had a strong outing for the St. Paul Bearers against the Iowa Crop Circles at Casket County Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. The Bearers, at 44-50, sit in third place in the Frontier Northern.
St. Paul took a 4-2 lead on Gary Escamilla's 33rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Escamilla hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Iowa pitcher Ted Morgan visibly frustrated.
García attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
