Philadelphia picked up a win at William Penn Park, bumping off the Iowa Crop Circles, 5-3. Pitcher Rafael Francisco was a major reason the Cheesesteaks emerged victorious. Philadelphia has now won 3 straight, while the Crop Circles have lost 3 in a row.
Had Orlando Ramírez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Ramírez hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Cheesesteaks.
