Lewis Helps Rum Runners Beat Outlaws, 7-6
|
The Orlando Rum Runners defeated the Ozark Outlaws by the score of 7-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Dean Lewis. Lewis was 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 for the Rum Runners on the day. Jeff Adelman came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-3. The setback makes Ozark 45-50.
Dan Hornsby, who is a two-time Diamond Glove Award winner, helped out the Orlando cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the left fielder was 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I don't care about style points," Hornsby said. "I only care about winning."
