Diablos Take Nail-Biter Over Mashers
The Mexico City Diablos got a magnificent performance from pitcher I-tsing Kui, who stifled the Crab Apple Cove offense en route to a 2-1 Diablos win at Corona Field. Bill Strachan, 4-3, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. The third-place Diablos lifted their record to 50-46.

Mexico City won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and José Reyes on the mound for Crab Apple Cove, left fielder Donald William hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Diablos fans to their feet.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Jared Margolies.
