Railbirds Beaten By Diablos, 5-2
|
Mexico City registered a win at Corona Field by beating the Reading Railbirds, 5-2. Pitcher Andy Thomas was one reason why the Diablos triumphed. The winner was Thomas. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Dax McKames. With the victory, the Diablos upped their record to 52-44.
The Diablos got a big at-bat from third baseman Manny Navarro. For the game, Navarro went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 20th double of the season gave Mexico City a 3-1 lead.
